Charming small resort village, Albiez-Montrond and Albiez le Jeune arelocated on an open and sunny plate at the bottom of the Aiguilles d’Arves. These villages offer an exceptional panorama and are a perfect place to relax.
At the heart of the Maurienne valley in the south of Savoy, Albiez-Montrond is a ski resort in the Massif Arvan-Villards. Easily accessible, it is only 25 minutes from St Jean de Maurienne and 1 hour from Chambery.
The alpine ski area Albiez-Montrond extends from 1500 m to 2100 m altitude and offers 35 km of pistes. Tips: During your stay, you can discover the Sybelles ski area just 20 minutes by car (access from St Sorlin d’Arves and St. Jean) with the package “Here and Elsewhere”. Alternatively, the escape for a day on the Val Thorens via Orelle, 45 min. by car.
The resort’s ski slopes, are suitable for all levels of skier. Beginners will be able to make fast progress on the numerous easy blue runs. Advanced level skiers will enjoy the naturally challenging terrain and, depending on the winter season period, may be able to use the snowpark and boardercross. There are three areas available for cross-country skiing.
Albiez Montrond has many activities to do in both the summer and winter months. In the winter you can try dog sledding, paragliding, horse riding, and sledding.
In the summer you can to the lake and have a session on the aquapark there, go climbing and mountaineering. Also, in the summer, you are still able to go horse riding and paragliding.
For skiing and snowboarding, there are 35 km of slopes available. 9 lifts transport the guests. The resort is situated between the elevations of 1,520 and 2,100 m. For beginners, green slopes and ski lessons are available. Experienced skiers will enjoy varied and challenging slopes, and they can – depending on the weather situation – match each other at the boardercross slope or in the snow park.
Albiez Montrond is equipped with lots of snow cannons to allow for plenty of snow.
From Geneva to Albiez Montrond, the drive is 2 hours 30 minutes, and from Chamberry it's an hour and 30 minuted drive.
